<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving mechanism for a cylindrical rotor, which prevents an angular velocity fluctuation while facilitating cylindrical rotor replacement. <P>SOLUTION: The driving mechanism has a fixing member 717 that rotatably supports the cylindrical rotor 54 on a sub-frame 701. The fixing member includes: bearings 702, 703, and 704 supporting a shaft 70 so that it is rotatable; a pressing member 716 that presses the cylindrical rotor against a coupling when the sub-frame is pushed into the normal position of the main body device, wherein the pressing member presses the cylindrical rotor via an encoder flange 711 rotatably supported and is supported so as not to restrict the rotation of an encoder flange; and an encoder 715 attached to the encoder flange and used for detecting the passage of a slit in the encoder wheel 714 rotated at the same angular velocity as the cylindrical rotation body. On the basis of a detection signal from the encoder, a control circuit controls a motor, thereby keeping the angular velocity of the cylindrical rotor constant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
