<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a possibility that a function cannot be used by combination mismatching of control software between devices, in a system that achieves one function (e.g., multiple printing) using a plurality of devices. <P>SOLUTION: A image forming apparatus can set multifunction services cooperated by a plurality of devices and can store a control program being used at present and a control program scheduled to be updated, wherein the image forming apparatus includes: a determination means for determining whether the control program and a control program of another device are combined to operate the multifunction services or not; and a startup means for starting the control program of the image forming apparatus if the determination means determines that the multifunction service can be operated for the other device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
