<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate image data according to the image quality of an emphasized person. <P>SOLUTION: In step S160, an evaluation object limiting part P2e detects, of each face area FA contained in each image data ID, a face area FA having the highest sharpness S. In step S170, an image evaluation value calculation part P2f takes the highest sharpness S as an image evaluation value E of each image data ID. Namely, the sharpness S for a face with good image quality of faces contained in each image data ID as the image evaluation value E of each image data ID. Namely, in the steps S160-S170, the calculation of the image evaluation value E is performed while limiting the sharpness S to be considered to the one with good image quality.
