PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide more intelligible guide when the number of lane is extended for a road after changing course. SOLUTION: When changing course is required at a forehand branching point and a vehicle is made a judgment to move a road (road anterior to the branching point) where the number of lane is extended corresponding to the road after changing course, a "direction guide" is performed anterior to road segment where the number of lane is extended (lane extension segment) and a "lane guide" is performed over the lane extension segment. Because, "direction guide" and "lane guide" are switched by whether the vehicle arrives at the lane extension segment to perform either guide, the vehicle driver recognizes guide without confusion. In particular, when branching point is of narrow-angle one or when the amplified lane is a lane only for road after changing course, the lane guide is performed instead of direction guide for right and left, resulted in easy understanding.
