PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skew, while increasing the area of a permanent magnet, as much as possible. SOLUTION: In an axial-gap rotating electrical machine 10, wherein armatures 30 and 40 and a field element 20 face each other in a direction of the axis of rotation 18a, the field element 20 is equipped with permanent magnets 22, each having magnetic poles for the armatures 30 and 40; and cores 50 for a field element which cover the surfaces of the permanent magnets 22 on the armature 30 side and the armature 40 side. Each core 50 for a field element has, as a side on the end part side in the peripheral direction around the axis of rotation 18a which is opposite to the armatures 30 and 40, an inclined side 50a, having a relatively large angle with respect to a line that extends radially from the axis of rotation 18a.
