PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a total heat exchanger having a structure enabling total heat exchange in a heat exchanger and eliminating the risk of mixing of exhaust air with supply air. SOLUTION: The total heat exchanger includes an air washer device 3 provided within an exhaust passage 2; a sump 4 provided in the lower part of the exhaust passage 2 and storing air washer water; a communication pipe line 7 for connecting the sump 4 with the air washer device 3; and an outside air introduction pipe line 6a through which outside air passes to come into contact with the sump 4. The total heat exchanger is constituted to perform exchange between exhaust heat collected in the air washer water and heat of outside air passing through inside of the sump 4, and thermal loss caused by piping is reduced.
