PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deformation and damage of pipes by absorbing thermal expansion quantity of an inner pipe and an outer pipe in a silencer formed by fixing the inner pipe and the outer pipe. SOLUTION: This silencer is connected to an exhaust system of an engine. Both ends of the outer pipe 16 are fixed to the inner pipe 15, and a plurality of projection parts 20 for absorbing difference of thermal expansion quantity of the pipes 15, 16 are formed on the outer pipe 16.
