PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently cool an inverter circuit 20 in an electric compressor 100. SOLUTION: In this electric compressor 100, a thermal insulation film 80 is formed so as to respectively cover a bottom part 140 and side parts 141a and 141b of a recessed part 14a of a stator core 14. Thus, heat from a stator coil 15 is hardly transmitted to a refrigerant in a refrigerant flow passage 60 via the stator core 14. Heat from the inverter circuit 20 is excellently transmitted to the refrigerant in a refrigerant flow passage 61 via a thick part 1n of a housing 1 in response to this state.
