PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a column base structure by which the space formed above a covering concrete layer for covering an upper end part etc. of an anchor bolt for fixing a column base metal member can be effectively used. SOLUTION: In the column base structure 30 including the column base metal member 32 fixed onto a foundation concrete 8 by screwing a nut 36 to an upper end of an anchor bolt 34 projecting from the upper surface of the column base metal member 32, of which the anchor bolt 34 penetrates a bolt hole 38 formed in the column base metal member 32, the nut 36 comprises an upper part 36a and a lower part 36b in the height direction. The shape of the upper part 36a on the horizontal plane is formed to be larger than that of an opening of the bolt hole 38, and the shape of the lower part 36b on the horizontal plane is formed to be smaller than that of the opening so that the lower part 36b can be inserted into the opening.
