PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial lawn manufacturing method for efficiently implanting a plurality of lawn leaves in a substrate without using unnecessary members or carrying out unnecessary steps. SOLUTION: A lawn thread 31 implanted in the substrate of the artificial lawn is formed by extruding in a cylindrical shape in which a hollow portion 33 is secured inside a peripheral wall portion 32 having thin wall portions 34. Then the substrate having the lawn threads 31 implanted therein is laid on an installation location of the artificial lawn, and granular matter constituting a filler layer of the artificial lawn is dispersed on the substrate, followed by blushing the lawn threads, to thereby tear each thin wall portion 34 of each lawn thread 31 implanted in the substrate. Thus the cylindrical lawn thread 31 is separated into the plurality of lawn leaves 3, and the granular matter is filled between the lawn leaves. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
