PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sanitary, convenient, and economical vacuum cleaner. SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes: a dust separation part provided inside a cleaner body and provided with a dust separation unit for separating dust sucked from a surface to be cleaned from air; an electric blower provided on the downstream of the dust separation unit; a dust accumulation part connected to the dust separation part for temporarily accumulating the separated dust; a dust storage part provided below the dust accumulation part and appropriately communicating through an opening; a bag body detachably housed in the dust storage part; and a partitioning unit for closing the opening when the electric blower is operated and opening it when the operation is stopped. The dust accumulated in the dust accumulation part when the vacuum cleaner is operated is stored in the bag body through the opening opened when the operation is stopped. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
