PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holder for a float capable of drawing a terminal tackle cast into a distant place avoiding bait snatching near to a favorite point, and re-sinking the terminal tackle while keeping an optional position of an assumed region of a fishing depth in rock fishing using the float. SOLUTION: The shape of an opening of a base outlet in a through-hole of a main line in the holder for the float is formed into a tapered narrow structure in the form of an inverted brass instrument toward the interior (inlet direction). Thereby, the structure becomes an opened structure to the exterior when delivering the line according to the sinking of the terminal tackle. As a result, the delivery passage of a float-fastening line is permitted without difficulty to prevent the passage of the float-fastening line with the tapered narrow part in the form of the inverted brass instrument during bringing back and moving backward. The terminal tackle is brought back to a ground bait point together with the float H while keeping the optional upper limit position in the assumed region of the fishing depth. Thereby, the delivery of the main line is recarried out after arrival at the point.
