<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved apparatus that enables relatively faster and simpler, and complete balancing of a surgical microscope without an add-on weight. <P>SOLUTION: The invention is related to a balancing apparatus B for a surgical microscope, which is held at a stand via a pivot support. The balancing apparatus B is added to the pivot support 5 and equipped with an optical instrument rack 9 and, if applicable, a displacement units 6, 7, 8 with two slides S1, S2 for balancing the add-on unit in both Y and Z directions. Both slides S1, S2 of the Y and Z displacement units 7, 8 of the balancing apparatus B are configured as a cross slide body 12. The first slide S1 of the cross slide 12 is placed adjacently to the pivot support 5 and crossing a rotational axis A as a part of the Y displacement unit 7, and the second slide S2 of the cross slide 12 is placed adjacently to the Y displacement unit 7 at a side opposite to the pivot support 5 as a part of the Z displacement unit 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
