<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus can make toner remain hardly in a discharge electrode when reciprocating a friction-slid overlappedly with toner consumption control, and can restore sufficiently discharge performance of the discharge electrode. <P>SOLUTION: A cleaning member 22 is reciprocated a plurality of times overlappedly with the toner consumption control of delivering the toner with a charge electrode inverted into positive polarity, from a developing device 3, and a discharge wire 15a is thereby friction-slid to restore the discharge performance of the discharge electrode 15. A voltage of positive polarity applied to a developing sleeve is decreased in the last one-way motion of the cleaning member 22, to reduce the toner splashed from the developing sleeve, and the splashed toner is thereby restrained from deposited on a surface of the cleaned discharge wire 15a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
