A process for the purification of industrial waste water from heavy metals comprises the introduction of sodium sulphide, alkalization, coagulation, clarification, filtering, and water passage through cation-exchange filter with strongly acidic cation exchanger and anion-exchanging filter with weakly basic anion exchanger. Coagulant addition is carried out before the introduction of sodium sulphide. Before the cation-exchange filter with strongly acidic cation exchanger the water is additionally passed through the cation-exchange filter with carboxylic cation exchanger. |
