<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable, when jamming occus when reading a series of documents on each of which the same contents are described over a plurality of pages, a user to specify without hesitation a top document to be reset among these documents. <P>SOLUTION: It was achieved that when jamming etc occur during reading a series of documents, not only an image picture 102 of a document read just before is displayed on a document reset requirement screen 100, but also a page return button 105 or a page feed button 106 or a hardware key having the same function as them is arbitrarily pressed down to respectively display the images 102 of all the documents read until the foregoing jamming generation for confirmation.
