<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which accurately corrects transfer image shift, thereby suppressing transfer image shift amount and achieving excellent image quality, and to provide a control method. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is equipped with a first photoreceptor drum 21 to fourth photoreceptor drum 24, and a first exposure part 31 to a fourth exposure part 34 or the like. The length of a scanning line of an electrostatic latent image to scan the photoreceptor drum is adjusted in accordance with moving amount of the photoreceptor drum. The length of the scanning line of the electrostatic latent image is adjusted by changing frequency of clocks of an image forming signal every time the photoreceptor drum is scanned with the laser beam once. The length of the scanning line of the electrostatic latent image is adjusted by changing the total number of clocks of the image forming signal every time the photoreceptor drum is scanned with the laser beam once. The length of the scanning line of the electrostatic latent image is adjusted by dividing a scanning range where the photoreceptor drum is scanned with the laser beam into plurality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
