<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve stably highly efficient operation in a heat pump type water heater. <P>SOLUTION: The heat pump type water heater includes a temperature sensor TS1 (discharge refrigerant temperature detection means) for detecting the temperature of a refrigerant discharged from a compressor 11; a temperature sensor TS2 and a temperature sensor TS3 as an intermediate heat exchanger inlet refrigerant temperature detection means and an intermediate heat exchanger outlet refrigerant temperature detection means, respectively for detecting the temperature of a first refrigerant flow at an inlet and an outlet of an intermediate heat exchanger 15; and a controller (control device) C for controlling valve openings of an expansion valve 17 (main throttle means) and an expansion valve 14 (auxiliary throttle means) based on outputs of the temperature sensors TS1, TS2, TS3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
