<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp capable of preventing an image of the shape of an arc tube from being projected in lighting the lamp, and preventing degradation of its appearance; and a lighting system. <P>SOLUTION: This compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp is provided with: a lighting device 7 and an arc tube support holder 5 housed in a cover 3; the arc tube 4 supported to the arc tube support holder 5, and provided with a bulb 4e having a pair of electrodes 4g and 4h, and having, at least in a part, a large-diameter bulging part on its top end side relative to the arc tube support holder 5 side; and a thermoplastic resin globe wherein the arc tube 4 is housed, a diameter-reduced part 6b reduced in diameter relative to the bulging part of the bulb 4e is formed, the globe is divided into two or more parts including a large-diameter part having a large diameter relative to the bulging part of the largest diameter of the bulb, its divided joint surfaces 6-12 are welded to each other, the thickness is 0.5-1.5 mm, the transmittance of all the light rays in the visible light range is not smaller than 85%, and the linear transmittance is not larger than 10%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
