<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new Savonius windmill capable of widely securing a difference between a resisting force coefficient at a recessed face side as a wind-receiving surface and a resisting force coefficient at a projected face side as a wind-avoiding surface and further improving rotary performance. <P>SOLUTION: The Savonius windmill includes a pair of support plates 3, 4 arranged on both ends of a rotary shaft 2, and a plurality of cross-sectioned arc-shaped blades 5 arranged at an even partition by centering around the rotary shaft 2. The plurality of blades 5 have shafts 6 arranged in the vicinity of ridge lines and supporting both ends by support plates 3, 4, and a pair of split blade bodies 7, 8 rotatably supported on the shaft 6 and capable of opening and closing by making recessed face sides approach and separate each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
