PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head assembly which can easily be realized and control a space between a recording element/reproducing element and a recording medium, at high speed and with high accuracy, and an information recording device using the head assembly. SOLUTION: A slider 13 having a magnetic head 13a is disposed in gimbals 14c in the tip of a suspension 14b. Piezoelectric actuators 21a and 21b are connected onto the suspension 14b. These piezoelectric actuators 21a and 21b are disposed in symmetrical positions with respect to the center line of the suspension 14b and the gimbals 14c to push down the gimbals 14c according to an applied voltage. Acceleration sensors 22a and 22b are disposed on the base end side of the suspension 14b. The deformation of the suspension 14b is detected by the acceleration sensors 22a and 22b to drive the piezoelectric actuators 21a and 21b. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
