PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic apparatus which suppresses breakage of the housing thereof by a load generated accompanied by the rotation of a first housing and a second housing. SOLUTION: The first housing 101 and the second housing 102 are connected by a hinge section 103 so as to be relatively rotatable with each other. A stopper 42 is formed at an engagement section 40 of the first housing 101 in the front case 22 of the first housing 101. When the portable terminal 100 is in an open state, the stopper 42 abuts on a stopper 52 formed at a protruding section 50 of the second housing 102 to stop the force for further opening direction.
