PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate coping by an operator when an operation error occurs in an effect switcher. SOLUTION: When an operation error occurs in an effect switcher, error information is transmitted through a notice system from the effect switcher to a display control means for controlling the screen display of a display means. By the display control means, the error information is displayed on the screen of the display means. By displaying the error information at the display means in such a manner, coping by an operator is facilitated when the operation error occurs in the effect switcher. In the display screen of the display means, the error information is displayed near the display area of image signals which have passed through a composite working part where the operation error has occurred.
