PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform power saving of a wireless terminal including a relay terminal in a multi-hop wireless network. SOLUTION: A control terminal transmits a packet in which a time for continuing a sleep mode and the number of sensing times or an apparatus control instruction are described to all terminals, and each terminal receiving the packet thereby transits to a sleep mode, and returns from the sleep mode and returns a response to the control terminal after the time described in the packet. All of the terminals synchronously transit to the sleep mode, and the all of the terminals synchronously returns from the sleep mode to a communicable state. Accordingly, a terminal having a relay function maintains a multi-hop communication function in a network and all of the terminals can perform power saving. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
