PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigeration apparatus capable of continuing a stable cooling of the load side equipment by continuously performing proper operation of a compressor. SOLUTION: A refrigeration apparatus includes a refrigeration cycle in which a screw compressor, condenser, an expansion valve, and an evaporator are sequentially connected, a load side equipment including the expansion valve, and the evaporator, and a control means for controlling the number of revolutions of the screw compressor. The control means has a first control mode for controlling the number of revolutions of the screw compressor from a coolant pressure of the suction side of the screw compressor, a second control mode for controlling the number of revolutions of the screw compressor from temperatures of the load side equipment, and a third control mode for controlling the number of revolutions of the screw compressor from a variable set number of revolutions, and further has a selection means for selecting any of the first to third control modes.
