PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall backing material fixing structure and a wall backing material fixing method for a wooden house simplifying wall backing material fixing work of the wooden house and forming a wall surface excelling in appearance and durability. SOLUTION: The wall backing material fixing structure for the wooden house is constituted by mounting guide members in multiple stages to cross studs between columns, and mounting furring strips to the back faces. The upper end and lower end guide members are formed in L-shaped cross section, and intermediate guide members are formed in inverted T-shaped cross section.
