PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic endoscope preventing a fault of an imaging device by an inexpensive and simple configuration when a connector is removed from a processor device. SOLUTION: The processor device 11 has a timing/driver circuit 20, a signal processing part 21, a power circuit 22 for an imaging section, a power circuit 23 for a storage section, a main power circuit 24, a CPU 25, a memory 26, and an operation section 27. The electronic endoscope 10 has an imaging section 33 and a storage section 35. The imaging section 33 includes a CCD 18 and a first emergency power source 37. The CCD 18 is driven by a driving pulse from the timing/driver circuit 20 and driving power from the power circuit 22 for the imaging section, and the first emergency power source 37 is charged by the driving power from the power circuit 22 for the imaging section. When the connector 15 of the electronic endoscope 10 is removed from the socket 28 of the processor device 11, emergency power is supplied from the first emergency power source 37 to the CCD 18.
