<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fastening structure of a yoke of a universal joint and a shaft capable of easily assembling the shaft to the yoke of the universal joint with a simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: The fastening structure of the yoke of the universal joint and the shaft includes the shaft 40 and the yoke 30 of the universal joint 17A to embrace the shaft 40. The yoke 30 includes a U-shaped connection portion 31 formed of a pair of fastening plate portions 31a and 31b to embrace the shaft 40 and a connecting plate portion 31c to connect the fastening plate portions 31a and 31b, arm portions 32a and 32b to support a cross shaft, projecting from the fastening plate portions 31a and 31b of the connection portion 31, and a fastening bolt 33 to fasten the shaft 40, bridging over a pair of fastening plate portions 31a and 31b of the connection portion 31.
