<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus can generate image data comprising map information by which a user easily reach a destination. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: a landmark information storage part 109 storing a landmark name of each of facilities to be a mark for searching for the destination and positional information on each area thereof; a map image data acquisition part 107 acquiring map image data corresponding to area information when a user selects the departure place and the destination on a screen of a display means 103; an optimum route information acquisition part 108 acquiring the optimum route information indicating the optimum route for the travel from the departure place to the destination; a landmark acquisition part 110 acquiring corresponding landmark information along the optimum route information; a composite map image data generation part 111 generating composite map image data including the obtained map image data, the optimum route information, and the landmark information; and a display control part 101 causing the display means to display the generated composite map image data on the screen. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
