<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote operation method which can perform switching operation of an active window in an operated computer in which a plurality of windows are open even from an operating side computer having no coordinate designating device easily and by minimizing waste in communication. <P>SOLUTION: An active application selection control unit generates and displays an application tabulated list based on application list information, and if new application software is selected from the list, generates active application selection information. An active application setting control unit sets new active application software according to the selection information. An active window screen information generation control unit acquires new active window screen information.
