PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noise removing coil component for electric power steering for measures against common mode noise and normal mode noise of an electric power steering device. SOLUTION: The noise removing coil component for electric power steering is constituted by combining a nearly squarish 8-shaped core formed by combining a pair of E-shaped cores 11a and 11b together, with coils 14 and 15 wound around bobbins 16 and 17. The bobbins 16 and 17 around which the coils 14 and 15 are to be wound are fitted to winding core portions 21 and 22 of the nearly squarish 8-shaped core, and a non-winding core portion 23 of the nearly squarish 8-shaped core has leakage core portions 24 and 25 projecting into the nearly squarish 8-shaped core, the leakage core portions 24 and 25 having a magnetic path sectional area smaller than the magnetic path sectional area of the core portions 21 and 22 and non-winding core portion 23 of the nearly squarish 8-shaped core.
