PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount and adjust the lens drive against surface wobbling of the optical disk and achieve a low profile configuration. SOLUTION: The lens drive 29 of an optical pickup 27 fills a dumping agent DM in a space 31G where a wire 33 is attached in an actuator fixing section 31, and protects the dumping agent DM from contact with fingers by attaching a cover plate 40 above the actuator fixing section 31 to cover the dumping agent DM in the space 31G with the cover sections 41A and 41B, while securing the moving range of the lens holder 34 without increasing the thickness in the vertical direction.
