PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system capturing an image of natural atmosphere while being unobstrusive for a photographer. SOLUTION: The camera system has a configuration in which a camera casing having an image pickup section and a display casing having a display section for displaying captured images are formed differently from each other. The display casing is provided with a first direction detecting section for detecting the position of a three-axial direction. The camera casing is provided with: a second direction detecting section for detecting the position of the three-axial direction; a direction calculating section for calculating a relative position between the camera casing and the display casing by using second information outputted from the second direction detecting section and first position information outputted from the first direction detecting section; and a display control section for setting an image capturing scope frame indicating a capturing scope of an image to be captured by the image pickup section in response to the relative position and the lens information of a lens optical system.
