PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an α2,3-sialic acid transferase (ST3GalIV) defective non-human animal and screening process using the same. SOLUTION: An ST3GalIV knockout mouse is prepared to disclose the fact that the mouse relates to physiological phenomenon, such as anxiety, sleep, memory, outgrowth, reproduction, or biological rhythm so that the screening process is constructed for therapeutic agent relating to the physiological phenomenon.
