PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly enhance a specific region where any object requiring special attention in a display image exists, and to validly enhance the cognitiveness of the object requiring special attention which should be originally enhanced. SOLUTION: Among display images obtained by enhancing a region where an object requiring special attention, such as, another vehicle approaching a self-vehicle exists from among images picked up by an in-vehicle camera 1, and displaying it on a display 2, a display image generating part 12 of an image processing unit 10 controls the space-time frequency component of the display image to enhance the region where the object requiring special attention exists.
