PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method for an alkyne derivative with industrial advantage, which offers a high freedom of choice of raw material terminal alkynes, can be applied to aliphatic terminal alkynes as well as to aromatic terminal alkynes and can produce the alkyne derivative at a low cost and in high yield from terminal alkynes and alkenes. SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing the alkyne derivative by reacting the terminal alkynes and the alkenes, a Broensted acid or a Lewis acid is used, wherein the Broensted acid is a sulfonic acid compound or a sulfoimide compound and the Lewis acid is a sulfonate or a sulfoimide salt.
