METHOD OF DATA TRANSMISSION IN MULTIPLE ANTENNA SYSTEM

A data transmission method in a multi-antenna system is provided to improve the data rate and support QoS(Quality of Service) by realizing the multi-antenna system which has 6 or 8 antenna ports. The first mapper(120-1) produces modulation symbols for the first codeword. The second mapper(120-2) produces modulation symbols for the second codeword. A layer mapping unit(140) generates mapping symbols by mapping the modulation symbols to each layer. The number of the layers is larger than 4. At least one of the first and second codewords is mapped to at least 3 layers. A precoder(150) processes the symbols mapped to each layer based on the MIMO method.
