EXTRACT OF ELSHOLTZIA CILIATA EFFECTIVE AGAINST PREMENSTRUAL SYNDROME OR MELANCHOLIA

An Elsholtzia ciliate extract and a manufacturing method for the same are provided to ensure the effects of preventing or treating premenstrual syndrome and melancholia. An Elsholtzia ciliate extract has the effects of preventing, relieving or treating premenstrual syndrome or melancholia is extracted by freeze-drying root, stem or leaves of Elsholtzia ciliate and adding solvent such as water or methanol. The extract is isolated at 60°C~100°C for 0.5 to 3 hours.
