Method for operating a printing press with more than one printing unit

The method involves slowing down one of rotation bodies (13, 14) arranged along a transport path of one of material webs (7) that is interrupted in operation till to an idle condition, rapidly than that of other rotation body arranged along a transport path of the other material web uninterrupted in operation, in dependent of the operation interruption of the rotation bodies detected at one of material webs during passage of the material web via printing units i.e. H-printing units with a transmission cylinder. The former body is slowed down by a brake device regulated by a controller.
