MODE CONVERSION METHOD AND DISPLAY APPARATUS USING THE SAME

A mode conversion method and a display device applying the same as a monitor of a PC except a broadcast receiving function are provided to use two modes conveniently by switching the mode based on an external input state. A controller determines whether PC image is inputted to the outside input unit(S240). If the PC image is inputted, the controller controls so that a DTV(Digital Television) operate in a personal computer mode(S250). If the PC image is not inputted, the controller checks the other external input is in the outside input unit(S260). If the other external input exists, the controller prepares a mode selection list. In order that the user converts into the mode which the user selects, the controller controls DTV(S290).
