A method for manufacturing an organic transition metal hydride which is used as a hydrogen storage material is provided to generate the catalyst poisoning problem and safely and reversibly stores hydrogen of high capacity. A method for manufacturing a organic-transition metal hybride comprises: a step of reacting organic-transition metal halide and aluminum hydride compound to produce organic-transition metal aluminum hydride complex; and a step of reacting the organic-transition metal-aluminum hydride complex with Lewis base to produce the organic-transition metal hydride. The organic-transition metal hydride and the organic-transition metal halide are denoted by the chemical formula 1 (A-(OMHm)n) and 2 (A-(OMXm)n).
