APPARATUS AND METHOD USING RADIO SIGNALS

A method for using a wireless signal and an apparatus thereof are provided to offer an accurate location tracking function to a user by using various formats of signals which a portable terminal receives. A wireless transceiver(10) comprises the followings: a GSM/UMTS signal processing module(11) for transceiving wireless signals based on the GSM or UMTS protocol; a WLAN signal processing module(13) for transceiving wireless signals based on the WLAN protocol; a GPS signal processing module(15) for transceiving GPS signals; and a measurement reporter(21) of a measuring unit for extracting information to be used in an application processor(40), from signals provided by the wireless transceiver.
