An ultrasound system and a method for processing an ultrasound image are provided to detect the contour of a sectional object by automatically detecting a seed point for each slide cross section based on the plural slide cross sections. A transceiver(110) receives an ultrasonic wave signal reflected from a target object, and transmits the ultrasonic wave signal to the target object. Based on the received signal, a volume data forming unit(120) forms volume data including the information about plural target objects. An interface unit(170) receives the selection information for the reference cross section from a user, and an image processor(150) forms a reference cross section image by using the data corresponding to the reference cross section. A display unit(160) displays the reference cross section image. |
