<p>The operating method involves connecting a drive (3) to a power supply (5) by a control device (6) over an actuator (4). The drive starts from a standing position by connecting to the power supply, such that the drive activates a machine for directly or indirectly vibrating over a frequency area. A time-dependent signal (S) is detected by a sensor (7) which is the characteristic of the activated vibrations, where the frequencies correspond with the frequency area.
