<p>A system and a method for the production of cellular materials are described. In particular, a system and a method for the production of cellular materials with several geometries such as honeycomb geometry, chiral geometry and auxetic geometry are described. The innovative concept of the present invention concerns the pre-formation of the cellular structure by penetration of a reinforcement fabric by means of punches properly structured. The employment of punches housed on one of the matrices of the device allows obtaining several geometries without need of complex fabric pre-formation operations or of manual placement of the fabric in the interstices of the mold.</p> |
