Conical plastic insulator is used in electro industry as a substitute for insulating tape with electrical connections in switchboards of electrical installations. It is of conical shape with a connecting lace. It is mounted by means of drawing it onto the connection and drawing the lace (2) between the conductors which is thereupon drawn below a beam (3) on the body of conical insulator (1). It is a more reliable insulator than insulating tape.
