Invention herewith described refers to an improved collapsible spacer (2) of rubber rings with return transportation rolls of mechanical conveyors by means of which the problem of covering a large tolerance value of pipes, centering and guiding when mounting so that it secures the pipe firmly, has an advantage of multipurpose use, weak deflection against the axial force absorbtion, deglutination, dropout and taking away dirt, high working mass. There can be several collapsible spacers and in various combinations of embodiment of outside, i.e. inside areas and depending on what the roll assembly is intended for. Collapsible spacers (3a to 3h; 4a; 4b; 4c) are achieved with a flat inside area or with radial arrangement of protrusions achieved inside. Collapsible spacer (5) is with axial arrangement of protrusions, achieved inside. Collapsible spacers (6a to 6i) are achieved with a flat outside area or surface or with inside achieved recesses. Suitable shape of protrusions/recesses achieved at the inside/outside of the sleeve (2, 3a to 3h; 4a, 4b, 4c; 5; 6a to 6i) in cross section are triangles, rectangles, trapeziums, triangular apex trapeziums, ellipse or an arch.
