Crate shaped box for packaging and transport of fruits and vegetables is made of corrugated board, cardboard or synthetic material. By cutting the board of previously mentioned materials, a tray blank is obtained which enables that the tray is easily, quickly and simply manually formed by folding side wall panels (2) and front wall panels (3), and end flaps (4) first, and than foldable panel (5) wing end flaps (7), and front foldable wall panel (6). Final forming of the tray (P) is carried out by means of a fastener (F), consisting of a case (18) and a cork (19), by inserting the case (18) into round apertures (8), made on end flaps (4) resting on each other, wall panels (2) end wing end flaps (7) and by inserting the cork (19) into the conical aperture (22) on the case (18).
