METHOD OF TRANSMITTING PILOT IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM HAVING MULTIPLE ANTENNAS

A method for transmitting a pilot in a wireless communication system with a multiple antenna is provided to reduce overhead due to the pilot by using the unified pilot allocation structure. A pilot of a first antenna and the pilot of a second antenna are alternatively arranged in a first OFDM symbol with a first subcarrier interval. A second OFDM symbol is transmitted by moving the pilot pattern arranged in the first OFDM symbol in a frequency axis as much as the first subcarrier interval. The pilot of the third antenna and the pilot of the fourth antenna are arranged in a third OFDM symbol with the first subcarrier interval.
