A variable valve timing for a large sized two stroke diesel engine with a cam shaft is provided to save the energy because the closing of the exhaust valve is relatively advanced. A variable valve timing for a large sized two stroke diesel engine with a cam shaft comprises plural cylinders, one or more cam shafts, hydraulic piston pumps, a hydraulic actuator, a hydraulic line, an elastic member. The cylinders include the exhaust valve. The cam shaft includes the cam for operation of the exhaust valve related to the cylinder. The hydraulic piston pumps are driven by the cam placed on the cam shaft. The hydraulic actuators are positioned in each exhaust valve to open the exhaust valve. The hydraulic line connects the hydraulic piston pumps and hydraulic actuators. The elastic member closes the exhaust valve. The hydraulic line is connected to the volume control apparatus. The volume control apparatus selectively absorbs the hydraulic fluid from the hydraulic line. The volume control apparatus selectively returns the hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic line. The hydraulic fluid is variable volume. |
